O compositor Hakim em sua canção shaabi tenta conscientizar os homens sobre orespeito à s mulheres fazendo uma alusão contrária ao que o drama machista de 98minutos dirigido por Sameh Abdulaziz mostra. Em 11 de dezembro de 2006, foi a primeira pessoa de um país árabe a realizar uma apresentação na premiação do Nobel da Paz. Lançou 11 álbuns até o ano de 2008 e compôs a música Halawet Rooh especialmente para tema do filme de mesmo nome e tem o clipe feito dentro do próprio filme com participação da bailarina Haifa Wehbe que protagonisa o drama no papel de Rooh. Haifa Wehbe nascida em Mahrouna, Libano em 10 de Março de 1972 é uma bailarina, cantora, atriz que se tornou famosa no Mundo Árabe ao ganhar o concurso de Miss Líbano em 1993. Em 2002 lançou-se como cantora e ganhou fama mundial por suas performances polêmicas. Haifa Wehbe é considerada símbolo sexual internacional dos árabes, algo que nunca havia ocorrido no Oriente Médio. Ao ouvirmos a música Halawet Rooh leigos que somos iremos imaginar que se trata de um destaque para romântico como a maioria das canções de Hakim já que uma de suas principais características é a voz grave e aveludada. Em muitas de suas canções, há a presença do Mawal – que nada mais é do que um solo vocal com sentido poético. Halawet Rook possui o solo vocal logo no início, o que nos envolve ainda mais com a canção.
